Home Groups

home groupsEveryone who comes to Swansea Community Church is invited to join a home group. Home groups are small groups of ten or twenty members and typically meet on a regular evening each week in a members house. They are organised by one or two members that lead and look after the small group.

Family time

Joining a home group is a wonderful way to get to know people in the church better. In fact, it’s where we become like family. In this small group environment it’s a safe place to share life together and support each other through prayer, encouragement, Bible study, group worship, meals and social activities.

"It’s awesome to hear about people’s answers to prayer from one week to the next when we’ve prayed for something together. Sometimes we’ll hear immediately that someone’s been healed or got a job at an interview. I get excited because I know we’ll talk about what God’s been teaching us at the next home group night and it challenges me to keep praying and going for it in the week." - Dan, aged 31.

Community living

As well as meeting weekly, groups practically help eachother when there are needs like babysitting or gardening.

"I love our home group because I know if I’ve had a hard time I can tell someone about it and they will not only pray about it, but they’ll also offer to babysit or have us round for tea. And we always have a laugh!" - Rachel, aged 30, mum of Talitha aged 18 months.
